Trimble Connect: A Collaborative Project Platform for Construction Industry
Trimble Connect is a project collaboration platform built specifically for the construction industry. It allows project stakeholders to easily share, comment on, and manage project documents, photos, drawings, and 3D models through the cloud. This platform is designed to facilitate collaboration across the design, build, and operate phases of a project. Whether on Desktop, Web, or Mobile, stakeholders can seamlessly access project information based on their roles or tasks.
The Trimble Connect Mobile App is user-friendly and specially designed for professionals working in remote or field environments, such as construction job sites and manufacturing facilities. It also proves to be useful during project meetings or presentations. The app provides one-click access to specific information required to complete tasks that have been organized by the back office using Trimble Connect for Web or Desktop. Additionally, project information and files can be stored locally in the mobile application for offline use, ensuring accessibility even in areas with limited or no internet access. Users can create or modify new tasks, known as ToDos, while offline, and then synchronize them to the cloud once connected to the internet.
One standout feature of the Trimble Connect Mobile App is its high-performance 3D model viewer. It allows for the quick loading, overlaying, and easy navigation of large, complex, and detailed construction models created in various formats (IFC, SKP, RVT, DWG, etc.). The app provides a simple and intuitive touch-based interface for smooth navigation through these 3D models.
